Once again, I find myself tired and bored between events on a Saturday. Actually, I've been sitting around since about 10, waiting for a dance floor to arrive followed by a lecture followed by I'm not quite sure. I was supposed to be in here from 10-4 today, but the performance I'm setting up sound for is from 8-10 and I'm pretty sure they're going to need me tonight.

However, I did manage to snag a pretty awesome free lunch from the caterers, so that's a plus. *1up noise*

Anyway, today I got a call from someone I'd never talked to before.  He was wondering if he could give a lecture, and wanted to run his research by me.  For the next ten minutes, I listened to his spiel, which incorporated several theories.  Among them:

- Noah's curse upon his son Ham signified the insertion of a new gene into Ham's genome.
- This gene predisposes Ham, and all his modern-day descendents, to violence.
- The iron core of the earth is where the demons are bound.  But that doesn't stop them from influencing us!

Anyway, the guy told me he was calling from the lobby of our building, and asked to speak to me in person, but I told I'm real busy this afternoon, so I couldn't do so.  I gave him our fax number, and he's going to fax me his findings instead.

Let the record show that in the last week, I've been getting the occasional voicemail from this dude; I more or less ignored them, but I talked to him on the phone yesterday, and told him we were not interested in sponsoring his theories.  Today, he came into my office (while I was over at the mailroom), and tried to find me.  He dropped off his manuscript, then hung around until one of my co-workers kicked him out.  I'm putting this here so that if my body is eventually found, with a knife in my neck and pages of pseudoscience strewn around my corpse, you'll all be able to say, "Well, we saw that one coming."
