So far today:
12 beers, 1 sparkling wine, and now working on a bottle of red wine. It's one of those days. ie: an awesome day.

It's closing in on 2am Monday morn. I about to crash a couple of hours ago but got a weird second wind and am now happily hangin on the interweb and playing records. I may even put a caravan album on pretty soon.
Where are you working?

Fuck man, if I lived at your place I'd never get home when drunk. I'd just curl up next to the softest shrub. I nearly did that when I came to visit. And that was the middle of the day.

I work a mid-priced hotel. It's a great job when it's like this; quiet and undemanding.

ah KD, but if you lived in Wellington, you'd get used to climbing hills pretty damn quick. You've just led a sheltered life... Ready to say bye to my records yet? Anything else you wanted to try and buy or swap?

Evening again Miles

Yeah, I want the Guy Clark album. I thought maybe you were off selling stuff. There's still a few I'd like to buy.

nah dude survivorman's on the real. it's his shtick. you see the one where he spent like 4 days of his week on a rubber dingy at sea? ain't no other man on that dingy with him.

yes, do NOT equate survivorman with man vs. wild.  survivorman is amazing; man v. wild is annoying.

I'm pretty sure survivorman is the one with the skinnier more wiley looking guy who tears into fish and other animals without cooking them right?  That is awesome and sick!  I like that guy.  the other more cuddly looking guy is a little whiny but I always figured that was because he was stuck out in the wilderness for a long time and couldn't call his girlfriend and whine to her about how sucky sleeping under some rocks was praying he didn't get eaten by some bears.  I've only seen either show one or two times.  I don't really know what I'm talking about.

survivorman is the one-man crew dude who seriously just completely gets himself fucked in the middle of the most nowhere nowhere they can find. like, he'll go the extra mile, simulate some broken limb or something just so that he's a little extra fucked.

the other one is a poncy british guy that reminds me of jamie oliver, who goes into some woods with a couple of other camera ops who are undoubtedly more hardcore than he is, and he does some boring shit and talks for a while.

Maybe you should eat some peeps. Or else get creative with them: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/04/05/AR2007040501976.html

Are coffee shops open on Easter? I hope so. I need to go somewhere with outlets and no free wifi, or else I'm never going to get work done today.

no i hate peeps.  i hate my peeps.

(chicken little, chicken little)

also isn't one diabetic telling another diabetic to eat easter candy a little irresponsible? Puppy-dog-eyed sincerity

Ha, right, I was paying attention to whom I was telling it to, oops. Yeah, you should just microwave them and watch them explode instead.

I hate them too for what it's worth, even before becoming diabetic. But the peep dioramas are awesome.
