oh right, i thought for a second i was missing the world baseball classic or something.

the jays are my team.  i'm a baseball fiend though, even during the offseason i'm checking the trades and player status.  Cubbies are my nl pick since they keep snapping up Jay players, ted lily last year, and now reed johnson.

Ah, Cubbies.  Weeell, I'm a Sox fan which is why I got nothing.  But yeah, a lot of people are predicting a good season for the boys in blue this year.  I hope they're wrong:  every fratboy in this city will be insufferable for four months.

Oh, this is my own bitterness.  Wrigley is a great time!  I'm just annoyed by A) the frayboyness and B) the Cult of the Lovable Losers

That said of course I'll be a partisan in Nov, if it comes to that.

ah, so.  Lest I seem harsh here, I mean "misogynist" in an almost whistful way, ie the way my absolutely-clueless-about-women 15 year-old self was misogynist.  I actually like L6L9 quite a bit.  Girl huggin' chicken and all that.

That said of course I'll be a partisan in Nov, if it comes to that.

Yeah my store manager is a virulent Cubs fan, my store is, shall we say, on the South Side, so its employees are not.  During baseball season especially if one team or the other or both make it to the playoffs, the break room is like an armed camp.

Which is to say, I'm a Sox fan for the same reasons as Blucas, with the added incentive that it's a fun way for me to stand with workers against management, who uniformly hail from the near-North/North side.

i live on the north side, but my chicago rooting interest is totally the white sox for andronicus and blucas' reasons, pretty much. but you know, i'm a boston girl through and through, so red sox are my AL and MLB pick always.
