what actually happened? there was some picture of yojimbo's kid and ah pook did something or commented on it? i looked back at the topic, but i couldn't make heads or tales of it (some editing had taken the sense out of it), then i didn't want to look at it any longer, it was bad and full of smiley faces -- bad in that internet way, where you just sort of cringe.

maybe you guys should have an internet trial. freddie is a law student and so is dennis. you could appoint a judge and the forum could vote for 12 jury members. but if you do that, then i'm gonna hire one of lptj's lawyers and utilize the 'lptj legal system' myself for shit like, the people being lame in 'the best thread ever'.

More truth.  When you share pictures of your family with people and someone defaces them, that's a pretty fat slap in the face and just not funny!  Don't slap cool folks, it's fucking stupid to!

You'll notice, in the end, no one's really lynching anybody -- talk, is all -- and rallying around Jim. Besides, Jim did do the "I'm sorry, what?" response, first over PM and then, when Pook didn't respond, on the board. Pook didn't apologize and in fact posted another defaced photograph.

And Jim was humourless about it, which is perfectly understandable, you're definitely not required to have a sense of humour about your one year old son. When Jim got upset about it, Pook seems to have gone 'whatever, it's just the internet' and kept to his line. Most people were unimpressed by that. They seem to hold this against Pook, so so much the worst for him.

Isn't that where it should end? People going 'man, that wasn't cool' seems to serve all the good which can be had here, the calls for banning, etc, seems like extraneous passive-aggressive resentment to me. It also looks like the thread has been deleted, so much more reason to let it go.
