Yeah, they are a favourite in our house, except that the 7 year old picks out the choc chips and leaves the rest. Banana and chocolate is a fantastic combination.

And I've said it before, but I'll say it again

Lamb & Quince tagine

made by me. Its a reminder that "fuck yeah, I can cook" and you could probably make it without the lamb, but with chickpeas. I use both.

I made vegetable tagine this weekend.  it was deee-licious.  still haven't scrubbed out the tagine yet, though...

So I'm making some stir fried random vegetables and I just had the stunning realization that I've finally hit the point where I can flip things in the pan by jiggling it.

I think a stint on Iron Chef should be next.

it is tasty meats time.

few days ago, this dude named dennis who produces much of the beautiful nerd equipment that comes out of great river electronics came in for a bit and brought with him a big cooler completely overflowing with meat and jerky and sausage he'd made. i don't know where all of this came from and i don't care to, all i know is that this is the best meat i've had in a long time.

I got home late yesterday and immediately upon walking in the door, tMO stuffed a slice of homemade pizza in my mouth.  It was wonderful and hilarious.

Miles and Reese for the win. The first is chocolate chip pancakes with strawberries & maple syrup, the second is a grilled tofurkey sandwich with tofutti cream cheese/grilled tomatoes/spinach, and the last is yellow thai curry with veggies & tofu. Sorry I am officially vegan hippie scum but he doesn't seem to mind so I'll roll with it.

Also: mocha cupcakes with coffee buttercream frosting & dark chocolate covered espresso beans. I sent most of them home with Stephanie but good god are they amazing. Vegan cupcakes take over the world, indeed.

(Also: not a crust on the pancakes, just where the chocolate melted and looks burnt/weird instead.)
