I know man. Just when I read that the idea of sitting around smoking pot all day sounded incredibly appealing. I'd probably add some FFVII to that equation, since I installed it last week and haven't had time to play it.

Sitting around smoking pot all day is always appealing, but lord knows I do that enough already.

Alright, so my car had an electrical fire, it's probably going to be declared a total loss and my insurance agent is not getting back to me (actually, I'm just being impatient, but still).

Not having a car and the prospect of not having a car for awhile is very annoying.

This cold will just not go away. i have classes all day today and I'm having to blow them all off except for english because I have a test. I feel like I'm about to pass out. This is tears inducing frustrating.

I hear you, I've been resting and taking fluids all day and I just found that my temperature is 102.2, which is 39 C, up from just under 101 earlier today and which is quite a bit higher than it should be I understand.  It may be time to bust out the big guns, i.e. hot toddies.  I am sorry if my sentences are not making much sense.

This may no longer be relevant for Yojimbo, but my recent bout with mystery fever taught me something:
Fevers are painful and unnecessary. Take Tylenol or Advil, buckets of them if need be, so you can rest and sleep and get better. I've always had the feeling that there were health benefits to "letting it ride," but throughout my mystery fever the doctors assured me that this was not so. So be smarter than me, and take the dang drugs.

I have been taking every drug I could get my hands on.  My wife actually refused to buy me more drugs 'cause she was so concerned about how much I was sucking down.  And still, I lay awake most of last night trying to think myself better but not knowing how to do it.  I was sure that the reason I was still sick was because I just wasn't trying hard enough to get better and I ended up getting a little bit freaked out about it.  Then I took my temperature about 6 in the morning and it had risen to 103.3, so I think I must have been mildly delusional.  I got up and started drinking a bunch of water and took a shower and after a couple of hours I'd managed to get my temperature back down to around 100.  So I went to work.

Anyway, point being, this dude is all about the drugs, man.

Cool, and bummer. Tell your wife that, despite the claims on the back of the bottle, taking more than two every four hours is okey dokey for brief periods, and way better than spending the night alternating between shivers and sweats. And if you need the drugs for more than a few days, you need doctoring and rest, of course.

I'm with you on the delusional part-- I found that I compulsively do math and chant song lyrics once the fever got over 102. For what it's worth, I got better as soon as the doctors gave up on diagnosis and prescribed a carpet-bomb of antibiotics. Good luck.

I was feeling feverish and achey and weird so I went to lay down at around 8:30, along with Richard who is an Old Man. But it's so hot in our apartment (DO THEY HAVE THE HEAT ON? REALLY? IT WAS LIKE 57 DEGREES TODAY?) and I kept tossing and turning. I'm finally at a point where I'm starting to drift off when all I hear is screaming. Our neighbors are fighting and it's obnoxious. I kind of want to step on the balcony, tap on their window and be like "Hey, uh, everyone can hear you" but I'm too lazy/scared/whatever. Ahhh I just want to sleep I feel like crap.

I just booked a taxi to drive me to the airport at 4:15 tomorrow am. The key question: go to bed now, or crack a beer and power through?

FUCK.  Ran to catch a bus.  Ran for a block 1/2, dashed across a street, avoiding being hit by cars and trucks, got to the waiting bus and my work ID, keycard and BUS PASS had all flown away while I was running.  Had to retrace my steps and pull that shit out of a puddle.  This, after I'd promised myself that I would stop chasing down busses.  I suck.

A friend of mine hurt himself fairly badly when he tripped running after a tram last week, so I second the "no more chasing buses" plan.
