Last poll I saw had McCain/Clinton even in OH, Obama beating McCain by 5 points, about the same margins for PA, Clinton losing FLA to McCain by a couple points, and Obama winning it by a couple points.

I swear to god those numbers have changed since this morning. The RCP avg. nationwide was Clinton over McCain by about two points; now it's McCain by .2%. With Obama leading him by 5%. But yeah, apparently I was wrong about the numbers. Sorry!

but what about everyone on obama's side who has had to watch hillary go after their guy for a month and a half? and now will have to watch it for three more months? if she wins, isn't it entirely plausible that a significant portion of those voters will not be able to stomach voting for hillary in november? i mean, what, am i fucking crazy here or something?

No.  I'm probably going to want to drink bleach until my stomach explodes after casting my vote for her.  But, for me, the right thing to do would be not to hand McCain the election, even if that means voting for Hillary.

What's worse, 4 years under a slimy douche like Clinton, or decades of repercussions from the disasterous extension of a Republican White House with the most divisive, antagonistic foreign policy in our nation's history, the continued rollback of our basic rights as human beings in the name of a decentralized, oversensationalized "enemy" and the inevitable theocratization of the Supreme Court?

Then there's the idiomatic "douche", which doesn't have anything to do with gender, and in my little world is interchangeable and synonymous with "asshole", which definitely doesn't have anything to do with gender.

and i gotta make one more point here: a month ago, when va had primaries, my friend carrie was arguing with me about how if obama didn't get the nomination she'd just say fuck it and not vote, and i was arguing strongly against that tactic. now, though, i'm starting to see it her way. i keep telling you guys that i will vote for hillary if she gets the nomination, and i still might, but i actually have some measure of doubt now, which, post my nader vote in 2000, is not something i thought i'd EVER say. but the fact is, hillary is shitting all over my guy. obama's not gone negative much at all, and i feel like the only reason he's done any negative campaigning is because he's been forced to by circumstance. clinton has been going aggressively negative on him ever since she realized that he was a serious threat to her own campaign, and it PISSES ME OFF. for those who are undecided, it may swing them to her. but what about those who know that they don't want hillary as the candidate? is it possible that i'm not the only one who's going from "i don't know, i guess i'll vote for her" to "fuck her, i may hate her more than i hate mccain"? because that's how i'm starting to feel! i really want her to lose, and it'll be hard to give that up if she becomes the democratic nominee. pollo's been a clinton guy the whole time, and he doesn't have any particular beef with obama. that to me is understandable, since, as i mentioned, obama's done little negative campaigning. but what about everyone on obama's side who has had to watch hillary go after their guy for a month and a half? and now will have to watch it for three more months? if she wins, isn't it entirely plausible that a significant portion of those voters will not be able to stomach voting for hillary in november? i mean, what, am i fucking crazy here or something?

the one ray of sunshine is the fact that once the texas caucaus results are finalized, obama may very well come out of super tuesday III with more delegates. he'll still have twice as many states as hillary in his "win" column, he'll still have a huge (and insurmountable) pledged delegate lead, and he'll still have the popular vote. these are not trifles.
