I finished the first part a few days ago. The part with Slothrop eating candy with Darlene and Mrs Quoad nearly made me choke to death from laughing. I haven't got much else to say though, because I'm kind of a mess.

It's all good. I'm about 300 pages in but haven't really read anything in the past few days. If anyone else is still going you should post about it.

You guys are about at the point where I put it down a couple years ago, so maybe I'll start re-reading--what was it, the third part, where the whole book just kinda launches into space? and join in.
