I just tried this and it's way better than the coffee I make with a coffee pot. Or instant coffee. You are a godsend.

Has anyone tried this in a plastic container (Nalgene bottle, for example)? I assume it would be okay, but I'm worried about off-flavors imparted to the coffee. This is probably paranoia.

I've done that, and didn't notice any off-flavors, no.

The new thing I want to try is coffee ice cubes. It seems like such an obvious idea in retrospect that I'm a little bit ashamed that I didn't think to do it until I heard about it being done at

Uh, Dear Greg Nog,
Thanks. I figured it was legit but wanted to check before AO went to the trouble of actually doing it.
Her project today was hot-brewed Pilon, made triple-strength in our stovetop espresso maker, then chilled and mixed with sweetened condensed milk. We have two liters of it and it's delicious over ice. We'd been buying these canned cappuccino things to fuel my early meetings, but at $2.50 each the practice was UNSUSTAINABLE and NOT GREEN.

Oh shit yes. You should do it. Just be aware (and this is kind of obvious) that if you're using coffee ice cubes you want to use more of a hot-coffee proportion of beans/grounds, because you're not counteracting the diluting effects of melting ice.
But yeah, I'm pretty die hard on strong iced coffee, and coffee ice cubes are awesome. For mine I did the regular double-strength iced coffee and regular-strength cubes.

Dear old guy who comes in every day,
Yes, we know you're in college, and no, it doesn't make you any cooler or younger. Please stop telling my people your stupid inane stories. I am not going to give you my email address, I know how YouTube works, and if you tell me about something on it that sounds funny I can find it myself. Just to be clear, no one cares about anything you have to say, even when you talk about it for ten minutes. I'm not even listening, I'm just doing work and occasionally nodding and smiling. Go away.

Dear Simply Grapefruit Juice,
Cheat on Crissee with me. You sound thirst-quenching right now, and all I have on hand are water, soy milk, and old cans of PBR a friend left here in August.

Dear adf,
If you promise not to be greedy, we can share. I've heard Juice is into three-ways anyway, so it should be fun. As long as Juice comes home with me at the end of the day.
Sincerely,
Crissee

Cranberry Ginger Ale is living with us at the moment too, though she and Apple Juice are looking a bit snuggly at the moment.
God I just bought a lot of good shit to drink. Go me.
