I figure if you make a website for a thing, then it is real, so I present to you:

Jeb! Elmwood Townhall has always been real! I list them as one of my clients on my CV.

Also,

I am happy because I'm sitting in my newly clean and rearranged apartment watching Hitman and listening to the thunderstorm outside. It's awesome.

If you're okay with a decent action movie with a touch too much plot, then it's pretty good.

Timothy Olyphant is straight out of an Abercrombie ad, though.

The 7" isn't out yet. You'll definitely hear about it when it is, though. I'll put that kind of information up soon. I am just lazy.

The Gridworks Collection Project is my friend A. Bill. He makes really rad art, and also the best website ever. We're putting out a DVD of his grid animations (with music by DA and Sonic Typewriter) and we've talked about him doing visual stuff for DA shows, but that hasn't really worked out yet. Anyway, we're going to be making videos for "Owls" and "Sandstorm" and throwing them on a DVD with a live show or two. So that's that.

Jeb! Elmwood Townhall has always been real! I list them as one of my clients on my CV.

Awesome! Do you list DA too? You can get a 2-for-1 type thing there.

It's funny you should say that. In fact, here's part of our original design:

So, dudes, I had dinner with Jane Fonda on Thursday night!

No shit!!  It was a Planned Parenthood event that I got invited to (a cause that's near and dear to my heart).  She had a little Lhasa Apso (sp?) on her lap the entire time.  She gave a great speech about the cause and about the bifurcation of the male psyche....it was truly stirring!

Anyway, the food was great, got to get dressed up along with the gf and act all attorney-like (except for the turn-coat, dickless piece-of-shit aspects)...it was great fun for a great cause.

Above all else, I got to meet Sally Blackmun (her father, Justice Harry Blackmun, wrote the opinion for Roe v. Wade)!  I'd just read a biography of the late justice, entitled Becoming Justice Blackmun and it was an incredible honor to meet one of his progeny!

I on the other hand am still apparently at the stage where I can get an A on a paper for any old thing
You're almost making me feel good about the Bs and C+ I've gotten.

Bear in mind the US invented an entry-level deodorant called 'Xtra Xtra Dry'.

On which subject - sort of - today at lunch two American girls sat beside me and as they sat down one of them commented "These are small" as she looked at her, eh, small coffee.  I felt like asking her "What did you expect?"  Small means, y'know, small.

Well for starters, in my country an ounce is a measurement of weight.

yeah, well, there are weight-ounces and there are fluid ounces. technically i suppose they're both measures of weight. but anyway, doctor bob, since you're feeling too pretentious to answer my question as i originally phrased it, how about you tell me what a small is in drams or however you measure them in ireland and then i'll google that and do the conversion myself and tell you whether smalls are really that much bigger here than they are there. if that's not too much trouble.

or i guess you could post another snarky response that avoids the question. whatever floats your boat.

Smalls in my country walk to market to get fresh food every day, which is why they're never fat, unlike American porky smalls.

Fluid ounces are a measure of volume in the US/imperial system actually (it's 1/128 of a gallon), and according to wikipedia, it's customary to refer to it as simply an ounce, "especially in cases where no confusion with the unit of mass is likely to occur."

The connection to the unit of mass is that 1 fl oz of water is almost the same as 1 (mass) oz of water, but that's not true of liquids of other densities obviously.

I love how Europeans can be so snooty about the metric system when it is they who invented it and it is they who still have the successor to whichever monarch's arm it was originally based on printed on their money.

NOW WHO'S BACKWARD, MONARCHISTS?!
