I just wrote a bitchin' ass PoliSci paper. No kidding.

"...America, however, managed to incorporate its class conflicts into the democratic process itself, as outlined by Madison in Federalist No. 51. The process is a subtle one, and of delicate understanding; many fail to see how inequality of station facilitates the representative democracy."

The professor's an old Philly Catholic kinda liberal, so I have to sort of restrain myself on certian topics. He thrashed a paper of mine last quarter because it was basically just a long, long argument for a secular retaliation against the fundamentalist cretins we've currently got at the helm...

Anyway, I'm all studied up on all my classes, and feeling pretty edified. I just like to share the love.

That does not, however, validate your existence. At least, I should hope not.

what exactly does it mean to validate your existance? as in validating that you do in fact exist? wouldn't not existing make a person rather unlikely to put on shoes... or chicken-bomb the house of last person who ripped him/her off... or click keys on a ibook keyboard?

that is the best example i have seen thus far.  no offense to elpollodiablo, as i'm sure your paper does kick much ass.  but taco bell, in the morning...you can't step to it.   validation will be yours, ol' kentucky shark.

haha.

i got a new band and i drive 2 hours to athens to practice with them, and then 2 hours back every week. that's 4 driving hours per practice. i would drive 10.

this validates my existence to me, if not to anyone else.

Hey pollo, got that article in electronic format?  I really want to read stuff about American politics written by people not too involved with grandstanding, newspaper columns and avoiding discussing Chomsky.

Sure thing. I'll send it along... If I come off like some sort of fascist (which, in review, I realize that I might), please don't think less of me. The plain fact is that our founders weren't too concerned with individual rights or equality, and this is just one long discourse to that effect.

You've an email address, I assume?

If you're looking for ways to validate your existence, you could always become an ordained minister.

that's definitely going to fill a certain void in my life.

I played in the snow and snuggled in bed and watched a west wing marathon. (I'm not sure why I love this show.)

...I might still have some work to do.
