Liar!  You're cool.  You know a lot about beer and you fixed my mom's computer and you make great looking kids.

You make a good point, Monkeyboy, but I really haven't been lurking for more than a day. Perhaps I should have waited longer before joining the chatter.

All things considered, I can't believe there are nine people browsing this forum right now without being logged in.

Jim, I know this post is gonna be hard on John and L's internets or whatever, as we're at 22 pgs, but I think it's worth it to tell you that I think you're one of the coolest if not the coolest fellow on lptj.

I mean, I don't know a lot about you but you love the beer and your kids wear viking helmets in the cold weather.  That stuff is cooool

When I wasn't pretending to be Andrew I lurked on Alexandra's rescue boat, it was quite exciting because I knew Alex and Greg could see me lurking as they posted. It was a bit like when you're walking up and down the street and glancing up into a bedroom window where some dude is dancing around naked with his curtains wide open, and he sees you, but pretends he doesn't, but you know he does.

Also, just to say talk to you all in a couple of weeks - the family and I fly for Spain in a matter of hours.

I know this is in the wrong thread, but all the furniture's been moved around and I can't find anything!

I missed you guys so much!  I'm too shy to talk in a group but I do like hanging about listening. It was eerily quiet without you all. Going back to lurking now. k bye

you may have fooled the others, by the way, but you didn't fool me.

actually, the reasons are a bit obvious, i suppose.

anyway, i'm gonna use this opportunity to pose a general question: do we still need to cap threads at 20 pages? if so, this one's overdue. but maybe the new forum no longer needs this restriction... i would like official word plz k thx.

y'know, I was just looking at the statistics page (which is really cool) and noticed the following bit of information:

Total boards: 8

EIGHT!?

So there are two Velvet Rope forums.  In twenty years, Greil Marcus is gonna write the secret history of lptj, best reserve your copy now, cos that shit's gonna be HOT.

Well, it makes sense to me: a music forum and an all-else forum.

Anyway, this thread is now retired, it's replacement is here
