Candidate of Hope

It was good to see this post and not find another ringing endorsement for Obama. Anyway, I wrote an antipoem where I reflected upon some excellent tunes for awakening, with some being "Arise," "Halloweenhead," and "Man Thy Name Is Satan." Here is the link for the antipoem:

Hey,
You haven't been here long enough for the shit-people-care-about-to-self-promotion ratio you've acquired so far.
So cut it out for a while.

Well, John wrote about songs to awaken to and I let my iPod do the choosing this morning and it really delivered with "So Much For Suicide" by Tiamat. Thank you. Here is a little ditty from the track: "So much for suicide - lots of talk but you never tried
A few pills short of a straight line - waking up still feeling fine"

Oh man, I haven't heard Tiamat in forever. I really liked a couple of their records a lot.

Apparently he's playing Wednesday at the Abbey Pub and, incredibly, there are still tickets. Yeeeeeeah.

I hate to miss what is sure to be a great show in Chicago. I've gotta pay the bills, or at least part of the bills. Have a blast dancing, and be sure to dance for us. Too bad Jamie isn't playing at Bonnaroo.

Yes, We Can!
Somewhere along the line Jamie Lidell stopped being a nerd who loves soul and started being a flat-out
bad motherfucker
soul singer.
