Hey Miles, if you give me a relevant search string for your name, I'll edit it out. You can also PM me your last name. At this time, I don't remember it.

Hm. According to the board search, my last name has only been mentioned here once, by me, three years ago (!).

but i think i then got confused a while later when nick ink bought an album by that german dj with your name and i was all "holy fuck is that diesel's album? i didn't know he was, like, famous!" and everybody was like, "no no, that's the OTHER michael mayer."
so i guess that's out there.
and now this is out there too.

Great. Just great. You couldn't have just made some other name up now that we're on codenames to avoid the NSA? "Jimmy THUNDERSTROKE" or something?
But in all seriousness, like half of Germany has the same name as I do. It's kind of annoying when you're shopping for URLs. I'm pretty sure the more famous DJ (*sob*) owns the .com, somebody else is parked on the .net, and there's kind of a douche currently using the .org. At one point, in elementary school, there was another one in the same class as me.

so there's really no point editing out your name because any potential employers are just gonna head on down to jimmythunderstroke.org and then tear up your application so fast there'll be like application particles in the air and a faint smell of smoke for days to come.
i'm banking on never getting a job with someone who'd snoop on me online because the links between my occasional forum presences elsewhere and my real details aren't particularly tenuous, and the stuff with my real details is already pretty much a warning light (literary aspirations, bad bedroom recordings of songs about demons, and plenty of jobless idiots as "friends", etc). but i guess really i just figure that once you reach a certain level of awesome, it doesn't matter how many babies you've eaten, you still get the job.

You know, that is kind of a concern for me, but I haven't the foggiest idea how to deal with it. I guess I just have to get more famous than all the others and then sue them.

Well, that's one possibility. Another one would be to spend the next few years tracking and killing them all. Then you could get rich by selling all their stuff on eBay.
