4 lbs strawberries
5 liters (1 box/gallon) red wine
4 bottles of champagne
1 cup lemon juice
1 lb sugar
3 oranges
1 qt rum

Holy shit.  I glanced past the "punch" part at first, saw "4 lbs of strawberries" and thought to myself, that is one crazy cocktail.  Sounds sweet and tasty, anyhow.

I have been drinking for 10 1/2 hours.  I don't think I've ever drank that long around my mom & sister but I think I have acquitted myself fairly well.  Probably in large part because they both fell asleep around hour 6 or so. 

So.  Beer is good, eh?

So I bought a cheap bottle of pear sake yesterday night and realized it would be pretty good cold, so I poured it on ice and added a dash of ginger lemon juice. Not bad for cheap sake.

I'm really, really enjoying the Chartreuse VEP, and doing my damndest to convince myself that I seriously need to never buy it again.

Also, I made some apfelwein this afternoon.  Hopefully, it'll turn out okay in a few weeks' time.
