Bourbon is the best anti-depressant I've ever had.

davy, for me, that's about the most damning thing you could have said there.
Well, not quite. The most damning would have been, "It's good if it's really really cold."

Considering the volume of PBR I had last night, I should be more hung over this morning, but thankfully I'm doing okay.

That doesn't mean I want to be at work, though.

And now it's official. They do need me to work today. Bleh. Yesterday, I got cut early because they decided to have everything outside. But today I guess not. And apparently there's an omlette bar, but I just had a protein bar and I'm too hung over to deal with dragging myself upstairs.

I likes me some XX Amber.  I like it better than the regular-hued XX.  had some last night with my dinner at my parent's, in fact.  It's one of my dad's favs.

Nursing more bourbon/coke.  I got the ratio a little more correct this time and boy oh BOY do I LOVE this stuff.  MM MM MMMM, BITCH.

Last night got a little silly. I need to start keeping someone around me to remind me that doing the worm is not a good idea.

a stop at the korean super food market land means a bottle of soju followed by a bottle of sake, along with tasty homemade soup. not a bad way to spend a sunday evening.

YES, THAT WOULD BE SO GREAT!!

if you do a west coast tour dear astronaut is totes welcome. i don't know about payment and stuff, it's mostly a house party kind of thing, but if you like really intimate shows where you're basically standing in the audience and really tall people have to keep their head between ceiling beams and there is decades of accumulated junk and bicycles and an arcade game and well, it's just the basement of a victorian house. it has character. in the best way possible.

Going from my last bottle of Sam Adams Cream Stout straight to one of my dust-gatherin' bottles of Harpoon IPA is incredibly disorienting

yeah i just moved in this june, so i don't really know how it all goes down, but last night was definitely loud. first band was a little poppier/electro-y, second band more garage-y (i hate trying to describe band sounds)...i was about to link to their myspaces but my address is basically in their "upcoming shows" box, and i don't know if i want that level of stalker bait out there. pm me if you want to hear them.

honestly though i don't think they'd care if i organized my own show, no matter what the music sounded like. bands are always practicing down there and whatnot...it's chill.

Haha yeah Jeb is right--that's the kind of shows I go to most often.

Whoever said Jameson was good stuff was brilliant.
An Irish guy I was chatting up claimed that, in the homeland, Bushmills was considered, by a good margin, superior to Jameson. Anyone here able to confirm or deny Paddy McHoulihan's claim?
Seems to me Jameson's not as sweet, has more body/ other flavors, so I've always preferred it.

In the Salon today an article about beer, in which someone is quoted as saying "Pabst is part of my subculture." he apparently also had a Pabst tattoo. I worry for people.
