I like the second ones, they work well with the shape of your face.

Can you take a pic of the second ones, but look as happy about them as you did in the first shot? I think your facial expression is affecting my response to your excellent new glasses.

Yep. They're some excellent glasses! I like them both. If only I could get cheap enough frames/lens combos I'd gladly own more than one pair.

I probably could, I haven't ever seriously tried. I just assumed with my prescription and location that something would be a dealbreaker there. Also I'm not good at knowing what looks good on me...

Ah, I just got my own Zenni order Monday!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you, LPTJ for helping me to see [no pun intended] the light!
2 pairs of regular glasses and 1 pair of prescription sunglasses, all quality, for $60 is definitely nothing to sneeze at! In fact, it's like the best effin' deal evar!

I think that it might be time to get glasses, for the first time in my life, at age 30. My left eye has gone to shit over the past few years (astigmatism) and it's gotten to be a legitimate nuisance.
The problem is that I have a fat, ugly face and should probably commit suicide instead.
But I've never seen a face that wasn't improved by glasses.

Thanks, Greg! I'm more than pleased with Zenni! It took a while, but for the price, one can't afford not to have a bit of patience.
Unfortunately my prescription makes them a bit more expensive than what I guess most would pay, but they still beat any other price by a long ways.
The gf was very surprised, so she'll be putting her own order in soon!

Well, that's just like...your opinion, man.
Also, they're the ones that the gf wanted me to have so badly that she paid for them....so there's that too.

I went to the eye doctor today for the first time since I was 16. I'd started to notice my vision going a bit south, and my entire family is various levels of blind, so I went in to see if I was imagining things.
Turns out that 15 years of staring at a computer screen have taken me from 20/15 (very good) to 20/40 (a little bad). The eye doctor claimed it was something to do with my focus, which she then demonstrated with various "look at this, now look at this, your focus sucks, see" behaviors.
So I'm getting two pairs of glasses: one for when I'm at the computer or otherwise reading, which is always, and one for driving or whatever. My insurance covered one pair, so I have a set of frames I like for the computer one, and some terrible-looking discount bin frames for the nearsightedness pair (which I'll never wear, since I don't drive and rarely go to the movies). If I find myself wearing the nearsightedness ones a lot, I'll probably hit up the Zenni site, but for now I'm seeing how this whole wearing-glasses deal shakes out.

Wait, I am a dumbass. I don't drive, but I ride my bike on roads with cars. I should probably wear the nearsightedness ones when I bike, right? It hasn't held me back so far, but hey, why not see as well as possible. Right.

I broke my sunglasses this morning so now am poking around the Zenni site, weighing options. The site has improved really dramatically in the past year or so, but it seems like all of the prices went up, too.
