He was saying that the tastes which blucas attempted to ascribe to FreddyKnuckles, which are intended to exemplify an immature, teenage mainstream aesthetic, rife as that list is with very disreputable and tasteless records, bear a humorous resemblance to the ACTUAL tastes possessed by Babar. Thus he intimated—again, humorously—that Babar was the original author of the list, and thus in accordance with your claim that his brother was fucking him, must Babar his brother also be.
Now I'm curious to know if your edit was to remove a 'with'.

I am finding conflicting information as to whether it actually came out in 2008, but I have been really into Helvetespine's
Frykten og Mennesket
lately. I may have to add it to my list. I also just got Mgła's album
Groza
and it is very good as well.

I thought it was artfully concise, and I share in narlus's :lol:ing.

Jesus shit, I was about to post my updated list, but then I heard Lindsey Buckingham's
Gift of Screws
, which on the strength of "Wait for You" and "Love Runs Deeper" may end up in my top 20. Jesus, it's good.
Have you heard it, Davy?

Not yet. I was thinking about giving it a listen before finalizing my list, but it's just so late in the game.
Under the Skin
was a top 10 album for me, though.

After two listens I am willing to say that
Gift of Screws
is better than
Under the Skin
. And I love the latter pretty hard.

Whoa.
Popmatters likes it, too. They gave it the #3 slot in their annual "best singer-songwriter albums" list.
I hesitate, though, because I just know that fucker is going to be $18.99 at the only place in town it'll be in stock, which is Borders. Goddamn lot of money to pay for a CD, I don't care who it is.
EDIT: Listening to "Did You Miss Me" right now. Pretty tight.

Time is of the essence! Besides, they're going for about $8 right now, which would be $11 after shipping. I've got a Borders coupon that would offset the difference, probably, but I had other plans for it.

That's still $8 cheaper than $18.99, and $8 is $8. Besides, how do you figure time is of the essence? Are you just that antsy?

If he gets it next year, it can't be included in the 2009 list, I suppose.

A list of one's favorite albums of the year, being prepared for a message board, is not worth spending $8 extra on an album you haven't heard yet. At least, not in my humble opinion.
I say, order it from Amazon, then download the fuckin thing. Sorry.

Oh, I just have fun trying to listen to as much new music as possible before the year is up. There's a sense of urgency...it's like a game, almost.
