1. Deerhunter- Microcastle/Weird Era Cont.
2. The Hold Steady- Stay Positive
3. TV on the Radio- Dear Science
4. Lil Wayne- Tha Carter III
5. Spiritualized- Songs in A&E
6. Bun B- II Trill
7. The Mountain Goats- Heretic Pride
8. Times New Viking- Rip it Off
9. No Age- Nouns
10. Flying Lotus- Los Angeles

I remember someone on these boards hastling me for being excited about Deerhunter.  Well, he (okay, I totally remember who it was, which sort of makes me wonder about my self-esteem) can fuck off. #1 spot for existential ear candy. Second place to the band that tells it straight, high, and all the places in between.

Maritime didn't put anything out in 2008. Also, suck it.

Sorry homie.  I hold you and Richard personally responsible for the fact that we have Sigur Ros instead of Harvey Milk.

Aww, let the poor little guy change his vote. He's breaking my heart. Sad

haha Harvey Milk was #26.  Jeb changing his vote wouldn't have mattered.  Had Richard included it, though...

And don't blame me!  I tried!  I was encouraging coldforge to add more to his list specifically hoping he'd vote for Harvey Milk.

I know you did; it just wasn't enough.  At that point I was like 2/3s through with the tallying and just knew Harvey Milk was on the borderline.

i just wanted to report that it took me until yesterday to listen to that Plants and Animals song all the way through that ellaguru posted ('Faerie Dance') to get to the "woke under a tree" fade out chorus. i kept switching songs when it hit that jarring middle part.  i'm glad i finally heard it because that's a cool part, but it leaves me wondering if i could listen to a whole album by these dudes.
