NYC depends on how much windy... It never quite gets to those painful cold-in-your-bone temperatures, just kinda hovers around 10 degrees or so for a while. But if it's a little colder than that, and if it's very windy, that feels bad.

. . . also if we're taking sides, I am cold as well. I'm thinking that I'm going to find as many blankets as I have in the house and bring them all to bed with me.

It's been pretty damn nipply the in burbs of philly, for my wimp ass at least. Apparently, me and the fellas are going to play some "pond" hockey tomorrow so I'm pumped.
And by pond i really don't know what to expect he just said he would pick me if i wanted to play. It may wind up being a hockey net placed on top of a kiddie pool or just a really intense frozen puddle. Either way, I'm down.

When you use that little copyright symbol after "RealFeel", it looks like you're trying to sell me a fleshlight.

You know, I think what I hate most about cold snaps like this isn't the cold (I'm kind of freakishly cold tolerant) but how then work cranks the heat waaaaay up to compensate, and my (windowless) office feels like a sauna right now. Not helping with my staying awake and focusing attempts at all.

I am pretty much weather-extremes intolerant...my body's heating/cooling system doesn't really work very well. I'm hangin' in there, but it's required downright hilarious levels of layering. Had to stop wearing rings for a couple of days because the cold made my fingers so small that everything was spinning and almost falling off constantly, despite having been sized down. There's no radiator in my room, and we haven't bothered with a space heater. Loading up on blankets isn't really a problem for me. Heat's included in our rent, which is clutch.

I will be happy to bitch about that. It was like 80 in my office yesterday, and I felt like I was going to throw up. At some point around 3 PM, I started wondering if I could get away with sitting in my cubicle with my shirt off.

I was just considering taking off my shirt actually, but I'm so out of it today, that I'd probably go to copy something and forget about it, and walk down the hall in my bra, so not going to happen. Instead I'll just have to keep inventing excuses to go for walks around the hospital. The beauty of a big building with terrible climate control is that somewhere in it the temperature is ideal at any given point, it's just a crapshoot as to where.

My apartment is a beautiful 62 right now -- warm enough to enjoy myself, cold enough to get my cat snuggling up to my lap.

Yeah, I live in a big apartment building, so I generally keep the heat in my unit off, and get enough heat off the building to keep it warm enough, but still on the cool side. As a result, my cat has been camping out on my lap whenever I'm home, and we've got this nice symbiotic body heat sharing thing going. I am so looking forward to going home and having a night in with kitty snuggles, spiked hot chocolate and general laziness. Oh, and BSG, right? Awesome.
