South water kitchen in the hotel Monaco for brunch - mimosas that were orange tinted champagne, awesome coffee, and a pancake that redefined, for me, what the word means - now on to buy a jacket

I'm only a short train ride or drive away but not even the promise of beer and bbq can drag city folks into the wilds of suburbia (and I don't just mean LTPJ folks, I mean hardly any of my city friends)

I do still work in the city though, could get beer after work sometime so nobody would have to lose any hip points

We might be in town on Sat or Sun to look at the apartment J. was assigned for school. Not sure time frame or plans or anything at all, really. Maybe Humpday or (500) Days of Summer. ANyone around?

I have very mixed feelings about that movie. On one hand, ostensibly appealing subject matter (makes me think of a less sci-fi "Eternal Sunshine") starring Zooey Deschanel and Joe Gordon-Levitt, who are both great actors. On the other hand, it could easily slip across a fine line and be just like "Garden State." Which I liked OK at the time but soured on.
