In other news, this very tiny dog just ran up to me and was like WHUFF WHUFF WHUFF all excited-like.  I was all AAAAAGH HELLO and then it ran over to the people playing whiffleball.

I'm in the same situation as Maiik, except instead of mozzies, my grass has dog poo. It's a lovely autumn day here, and I would like to spend some time sitting in the sun.

When I was growing up, we had a cat we'd put on a leash sometimes.  Mostly, we'd just hook the leash to the laundry lines and he could run back and forth (we had really long laundry lines), but mostly he just rolled around in the grass and sat in it.  He probably wasn't wild about the leash, but he was left to his own devices with it, and it meant he got to go outside, so he didn't complain.

Whenever I see a cat walked around on a leash, the cat itself expresses through its visible cat-emotions the idea that "You guys are huge jerks" almost as effectively as walking a cat around on a leash expresses the statement "I am an asshole." I always think the cat did something really bad and has to be paraded around town on a leash as punishment.
