I guess that means my last name is fun to say too?  It's certainly something that nobody ever pronounces correctly the first try.  The best I can usually hope for is that they get the syllables mostly right but the emphasis wrong.  And even that is rare.

Pretty much!  I have no idea how to pronounce your name, except for my friend's version, which had three syllables with emphasis on the middle one (hy).  I doubt that's right, but it seems like a hoot.

Though I'm on both twitter and tumblr, I use them infrequently and wouldn't really consider them useful, per se.

They can be fun, though. And I think they can be useful for businesses, if they're used correctly. For example, there's a frozen custard place here that uses twitter just to post their flavours of the day every day. They don't post anything else. I love it, and sometimes it gets me to go there when I otherwise wouldn't.
