I would sacrifice my room mate's boyfriend to any god who could provide me with central air right now.

I kind of perversely enjoyed the blast furnace aspect of today, all stompin around the East Village with a couple of elpteejers. But now I am home and smoking a bowl under the air conditioning and wouldn't go back outside for anything less than a solid gold blowjob.

We have air conditioning in our house, so I'm comparatively lucky. My bedroom gets less air than any other in the house though, and my problem is that I'm uncomfortable unless I have some sort of sheet or blanket over me. But it's too warm for that.

I'm moving back to st john's in like 5 days.  Thanks though!

I have a fan, and it helps.  There's an air conditioner in the living room too, but because we're moving we have no furniture.

I am loving the warmth. Warmth means my teacher-friends are out for the summer, which translates to party-time. But it also means porch-time, and this, too, is a very good thing.

Also, the heat is getting me all twitterpated and as a result, I'm thinking of starting up an OkCupid account.

DUDES. I discovered the absolute best way to deal with summer heat while asleep. Get a cotton duvet cover and a box fan. climb into duvet cover. put fan on table just slightly higher than bed and right at the opening. turn fan on. it will make the duvet cover billow up and become a fort of breeze. it's so so so right.

Fuck y'all, it is so cold here and rain rain rain. Actually, it's not raining today, nor did it yesterday, but it was more than made up for by the previous days where the fire we had going wasn't doing much to warm the house.

It is always worse for us in the USA. Colder colds, hotter hots. Probably not rainier rains, but we get hurricanes and tornadoes and such, so I think we get hit worse in the storm area too. 'Course when we spew enough CO2 into the atmosphere to stop the North Atlantic Current, we will have our revenge as England and all of northwest Europe is plunged into a frigidity that accords with its latitude.

Well, it's not so much that the rain is bad. If it's a sudden summer storm, sometimes that can be refreshing. Usually though, hot weather and rain combine to form terrible humidity and mugginess.

I prefer heat and rain to cold and rain. Nothing weather can do to me makes me feel as miserable as being wet and cold. It's like the skies are setting you up for a killer combination. First it soaks you to the bone, then it saps your life force out of you. With a summer rain you can be out there in a swimming suit and its fine. In fact, summer rains are my favourite times to take a swim.

Summer rain is grand, especially as relief. But when it's raining and somehow still very hot I feel like I'm on the moon or something. That only really happens during major thunderstorms where I live, though. So those are always weird times.

I've never experienced this thing where it's both cold and raining at the same time, though. When it's cold out, rain is impossible.
