The SF Bay area probably has the coldest summers of any place in North America that doesn't actually get cold.

My three major goals for the next decade of my life are: 1) find a place where it never gets hotter than 80 degrees or colder than about 20F, 2) convince D to move there, 3) move there and never leave.

You need Hobart. Or Dunedin... or just about anywhere in the UK I guess...

Washington?  Oregon?

Nope. Oregon has hot summers. They're nice because they are dry, vs the humid mess that summers are on the east coast or in the midwest, but they definitely can hit 90° easily.

Gonna be fucking 92 on the first day of fall. HATE. Every time the 10 day forecast starts to look good, with temps in the low-to-mid 70s, they revise that shit up to the mid-to-high 80s. So, so, so, SO SICK OF FUCKING SUMMER. I would take three straight years of winter before another one like this.

it's like 75 here, and hovering in the 80ish range for the next week

I am making Halloween things and the weather needs to catch up with me. JEALOUS OF VIENNA.

It's 53.2 here today, has been like this for almost a month. Fall's fine, it's when it drops colder than Siberia that Canada does not kick ass. Hello Vienna!

Strangely enough, Madagascar seems like it has a pretty good climate. Doesn't get as cool as I'd like, but the record high in Antananarivo is 95F!

Madagascar in general has some very extreme weather (cyclones, heat, monsoons, etc.), but Antananarivo is at a pretty high elevation so is more temperate.

Ah! That makes sense. I was looking at pictures of it today; it seems like a pretty neat city.

Next week it's all mid-70s for us though, jess! That's what I'm counting on.

Of course, I've been counting on that for the past month. I fully expect the 10 day forecast highs to all be in the upper eighties by tomorrow morning.

Yeeeah... I'm on the fringe of getting fat and don't know if I'd rather keep up the burn or move to the Northwest Territories where I'd always have the benefit of sweater cover.

It's supposed to be in the 80s for the whole week!  Hooray (if that actually happens)!

High of 64 today yessssssssssss

This morning was soooo fantastic. Though the crisp autumn air made me crave a cigarette for the first time in months.

We're getting straight buttfucked by some meteorology today. Incessant rain, streets flooded out, weird random wind gusts.

The marine layer has officially quit. I don't even want to think what it's like in the Valley. For the first time I'm glad the inside of this apartment has all the natural light of a Norman castle. It's a very livable 68F downstairs, and a much sweatier 81F (we have no a/c) upstairs.

9.5" of rain so far today, second highest one-day total in my area since record-keeping started. Still raining. My street is a lake.
