It was so gloriously perfect this morning. The kinda day that just makes me want to shirk all of my obligations and wander around, stand in it, breathe it in. Autumn is coming!

I always view the summer/winter thing as a matter of preference for discomfort over pain and vice versa. Cold hurts, but I suppose I can minimize that, while I can't really ignore feeling all sweaty and sticky. Other people, like my girlfriend, are the other way around. There's more to it, I'm sure, but that's how I usually see it. Either way spring & fall are both the best, but neither is consistent enough to be all time champion of seasons. A good fall beats a cold, wet spring.

Yesterday I wore a light sweater + light jacket + hat. It was a bit chilly.

Yeah, both spring and fall are monsoon season here, so I prefer sticky to either damp or freezing.

Even with the A/C on it stayed 80 degrees in my place for about 4 hours yesterday afternoon.....uggghhh.  I'm really glad I don't have to get dressed for work.

I've been avoiding this thread, but now, after a single idle click, I discover it's people talking about the weather. I'm English. I should live in this thread.

edit : whoops - it's blustery down here on the south coast of the isle, bright blue skies punctuated by big fluffy white ones. Feels like the end of summer this week.

My wife, who's Korean, says it's four seasons in a day. Last week it was raining on one side of my road but not the other. I teach students from more than 30 different countries and every single one of them is flabbergasted by the unpredictability and changeability of it.

The only thing that is regular where I live specifically, is that it's always somewhere between a bit and a lot windy. Mind you, I do live just down the road from where Jimmy took Ace's ride for its fateful last ride

I still get thrown off by how crazy and unpredictable GA weather is.  It  can go from full-on sunshine to storming so hard you have to pull off to the side of the road to drizzling to full-on sunshine in 10-20 minutes.
The summerness hasn't been too bad these past couple weeks though, since it's been raining every single day, usually including a blustery, hard-raining section around the time I have to go to work on days when I'm closing

today was fucking great, weather-wise.  overcast in the morning, breezy and cool on my trip home.  never above 78.  I seriously wish it woul stay like this year-round.
