To ensure that there's no confusion, let me state for the record that I'd rather listen to David Bowie than Lady Gaga.

andrew, no more of this lady gaga shit. it's like if i started seriously obsessing about nellie furtado.

BEATLES

been listening to the remaster of the white album to a sickening level in my early morning drive and it's pretty much one half greatness, one half slop. i do delight in songs like bungalow bill and rocky raccoon, of course.

i can't approach any of the beatles 'regular' songs with an open mind of course.

i heard about that remaster. rocky raccoon is stupid. what an awesome barrelhouse style piano solo.

for some reason i never got around to hearing hey bulldog before. i've never heard the yellow sub soundtrack now that i think of it. anyway, i did hear that song and it's great. here's a pretty cool video of the beets (no doug) jamming on it in the studio:

"Yellow Submarine" was really just an EP but there are multiple good songs hidden away on it. In addition to "Hey Bulldog," there's also Harrison's "It's All Too Much," which is one of my two or three favorite Harrison tracks.

yeah! i never knew this song by title, but it rules. it's very driving and completely lennon-esque (as a lot of his beatles stuff was, in my opinion). i wouldn't have thought this one a george track. i used to have (downloaded, of course) the twickenham sessions and i'd listen to them a lot
