Less lame than when Melo promised Syracuse he'd come back after winning the championship. Less lame than when David Stern decided HS graduates oughta play college ball whether they want to or not. I know they can play Euro leagues, but you could understand if an 18 year old wouldn't want to sign a contract with a team on another continent right away.

yeah seriously who gives a shit dude? why hate a guy for that when the entire basketball world knew he'd be the number 1 pick before he even declared for kentucky? personally i think the fact that he's even forced to play a year of college ball is kinda dumb.

Or maybe I'm just bitter he didn't sign to an ACC squad.
blame roy williams for that, who apparently had issues his AAU coach and didn't offer wall a scholarship because of it. think he might've helped the tar-heels this year?

feel free to ignore that little interjection there; basically all my friends deserted me and my girlfriend wasn't interested enough even to listen to that brief account of the hilarious victory so i had to tell you about it instead.

I was in a home with a television this weekend and I caught a couple hockey games. It made me really wish that I was able to watch it on the regular. I love watching hockey. I watched Dion Phaneuf tear it up for three periods and then the very next day I saw that he was the centerpiece in a massive trade to the Maple Leafs. I missed the Devils game yesterday, but I guess they lost anyway. I almost don't want to start watching the Devils again, as nearly all of my favorite players are gone—except, of course, for Brodeur, that beautiful man.

You should find a bar where they watch hockey and make it a thing. I'd go. I know nothing about hockey but I love watching it.

National Signing Day special on ESPN right now! I'm excited. Tennessee did way better than they had any right to after the Lane Kiffin debacle. Infinite props to new coach Derek Dooley, performing under pressure!

It's been a weird, wild sports weekend in my house. I've been confined to my kitchen table, catching up on two weeks of paperwork so I won't get fired tomorrow. I've had the TV on in the background the whole time, tuned to random sports channels and half-watching/listening to whatever they threw at me.
Key selections from yesterday:
Dominican Republic v. Mexico (Carribean Series) on MLB Network
England vs. Wales (Six-Nations Rugby) on BBC America
ARCA series in Daytona on Speed (apparently the only person racing was Danica Patrick)
Hornets vs. Bobcats on SportSouth (Hornets/Bobcats never stops being incredibly weird to watch)
Reno Bighorns vs. Rio Grande Valley Vipers on Versus (this was AWESOME, I love random D-League games)
Also I put $500 on Saints + spread. I don't feel very good about it.

But if you win you can feed your kids for twice as long, or get 2 kegerators.

You can probably have my dad's kegerator if you pick it up yourself. It's kinda rusty and I think it leaks.

I'm repeating myself here, but it bears repeating. I'm not a fan of The Who, but I am a fan of those gorgeous red, white and blue cymbals.
Also, the stage is pretty cool. I'll give them that.
Overall, though, they don't sound as good as Tom Petty did last year, and he didn't sound as good as Prince did the year before that.
YOU'RE SLIPPING, HALFTIME.

Hell, I'll even go so far as to say without Roger Daltry, I might actually like this band a little.

Eh, I'll be happy for Thermofusion and Jim's friend if they win money, but I can't understand why I'm still watching it. I can see that it's a game that I should be enjoying, but I guess I just don't like football.
