This is a bit of an intuitive one, but I think Dr.Bob will go for it:

Goldmund - Corduroy Road / William Basinski - The Disintegration Loops

I will.

I do!

(There's something else that would fit with these, but I'm having trouble remembering precisely what it might be.  I may be back...)

As for that Michael Bublé yoke, was it Justin Timberlake who had the cover where he was kicking/jumping on a glitter ball on the ground?  There was a sequential run posted a good while back on glitter balls (by bubbachups?  Maybe not...) that the Bublé cover might slot into nicely.

And as for alex's pair above, the Sloan cover looks like the mid-point between the Lee Hazlewood and MBV's Loveless, no?

EDIT: And Bon Jovi's The Circle fits nicely with Jay Z, Nick Drake...  (a group we had a while ago).

Things it is not:

Flying Saucer Attack - Flying Saucer Attack

Flying Saucer Attack - Further

Sue Garner & Rick Brown - Still

V/A - A Means To An End: The music of Joy Division

Terence Davies - Of Time And The City (movie poster)

Which leads me to conclude that I may well have been thinking of the painter Elizabeth Magill (specifically, her early 2000s work).

Although a certain doubt remains.

Hot Chip - DJ Kicks
Reid Anderson - The Vastness of Space
Animal Collective - Hollinndagain
Rome - Rome

If anyone can add to the sequence, either before the Hot Chip or after the Rome - or between the Reid Anderson and the Animal Collective, which is a bit of a leap of faith - then be my guest.

deerhoof - the runners four

It lacks a grid but...

And now...

Would adding this to the above be too much of a stretch?

Nope!  (Though there might be scope to slot a couple of others in between mine and yours- as might there be between yours and Jacob's.  Then again, I ain't the boss!)
