I still have one pair of the UFO pants and the 40" pants somewhere at my mom's place. I held on to them because I figure by the time I have kids, they might want the genuine article for a Halloween costume or maybe their generation's disco mixer. Or maybe just to dig out and laugh at what a dork their dad was.

i just wore black tshirts with hp lovecraft nonsense on them and band tshirts and stuff. i never did any makeup or huge stupid pants or leather or any of the more elaborate crap.
i still have/wear this one lovecraft shirt, even. its got a little logo on the front that says Whateley's Brewhaus with a dancing satyr and on the back its got a big logo for Arkham Pale Ale. i would buy this beer if it was an actual thing. i used to have one for Innsmouth Stout too but i lost it over the years.
snap i found the logos online

Oh,
fuck.
I remember a hatred bordering on bloodlust. I always associated it with nu-metal rather than goth, for some reason.
Mostly ICP fans.

Generally with us it was the skater kids, really
(now that I think about it, gothkid was like ages 14-15; by the time I was 16 I threw out the black eyeliner and picked up the giant pants)

Jncos were most popular at that particular place in the culture where nu-metal and goth merged. The remnants of that subculture still really like big pants, too, only they've now merged Jncos and bondage pants into these things:
...which a significant contingent of the suburban Hot Topic types where I live are all about.

Can someone tell me how to pronounce "Jnco"? It's much better than what I've been saying, which is "remember those ridiculous pants"

I've been thinking "junko," but I'm biased.

I always pronounced it /'ʤeŋkou/, which come to think of it is actually quite odd, because /e/ is not a vowel that usually shows up in English (certainly not my English) and yet there it was, halfway between /ɛ/ and /i/, in super-huge pants.

I don't know WTF coldforge just said, but yeah, it's pronounced jinco, like there's an "i" between the first two letters.
