I always wanna hate the Dwarves, but I just fucking love them.

Picking bands like the Stooges should be easy, but they were just so damn singular!

But I'd pick some Pussy Galore, Radio Birdman, Jesus Lizard, Chrome Cranks, Dead Moon, Oblivians, Cheater Slicks, Lamps, Rat Traps, Fatals.
But my main suggestion would be to pick up some Reatards ASAP.
I may YSI a track soon.

Gonna say.... the Hot Snakes and Rocket from the Crypt played at excessively high volumes. Y'know... if you're not already constantly playing them.

I've listened to both in the past and I was thinking I might need to revisit them; they do seem right up this particular alley.

Thanks for the YSIs killdozersnakeboy and heather marie

These guys are a local Detroit band that are definitely in that style. I saw them randomly one night and they melted my face with their rocking. Actually, if you're looking to hear a short shit ton of Stoogesesque no-bullshit RAWK, come to Detroit. I'm happy to say the place shits that sort of thing, for obvious reasons.

Can't help you here, Jim, just curious to know what this stands for.  It's been driving me insane all day trying to work it out.

they are total dicks, anyway. except that cjv guy. i met him once or twice, but i didn't really know him. he joined after they kicked out mookie, who ironically enough went on to form the much more successful Genghis Tron.

OK dudes, Arsis' A Celebration of Guilt is an album that I've had forever but it's really turning my crank this morning.  I have 2 more Arsis albums but they don't really hit me quite as hard.  What else do you have for me?

The Diamond For Disease EP was just as good as A Celebration of Guilt, and then they sucked for a while—but the new one, Starve For The Devil, is very good too. As for other highly melodic technical death metal? Hmmm... Neuraxis and Quo Vadis, both from Canada, are pretty good.

5. Catafalque (Bel) Technical Melodic Death Metal
6. Chaos Incarcerated Technical Melodic Death Metal
7. Cowhandler Experimental Technical Melodic Death Metal/Grindcore
8. Crownthorn Technical Melodic Death/Black Metal
9. Crutch Technical Melodic Death Metal
10. Dying Clarity Technical Melodic Thrash/Death Metal
11. Empyrea Technical Melodic Death Metal
12. Enforce (Aus) Technical/Melodic Death Metal
13. Exmortus Technical Melodic Thrash/Death Metal
14. Immaculate (Bel) Technical/Melodic Death Metal
15. Infernal Vile Technical Melodic Black / Death Metal
16. Neuraxis Technical Melodic Death Metal
17. Pieces Technical Melodic Death Metal
18. Quo Vadis (Can) Technical Melodic Death Metal
19. Semic Stains Technical Melodic Death / Thrash Metal
20. Souls Astray Technical/Melodic death metal
21. The Horror Cast Technical Melodic Death Metal

I am not immediately familiar with any of those other bands.

I did like Neuraxis' 2008 album The Thin Line Between but haven't heard anything else by them, any specific albums you like?

Also I haven't heard that Diamond for Disease EP but I do have Starve for the Devil, guess I should maybe give it another shot.

_Trilateral Progression_ is my favorite Neuraxis record.
