My band played at a bowling alley last night.  It was pretty rad.  I'm thinking a tour where we play bowling alleys exclusively would be the best thing ever.  Maybe.

Also, good to see you back to the band thing Andrew. That is awesome indeed.

Maybe we could put together an LPTJ summer music fest.  Or a clusterfuck tour.

almost everything but the voices recorded on my latest and greatest. we were aiming to be done by the end of the year but that's looking like a challenging deadline now. i'm pretty excited though. we still sound like we don't really know what we're doing, which is nice.

okay, everything but the voices done, lyrics currently being edited by my fact checker, two days off work this week for voice recording, album title chosen, cover art half-picked, tracklist done, everything pretty much mixed. rock and roll.

oh, and T+P, "throw open the windows and let the rain come in" is just my kind of album title (if it is indeed the album title and not the band name). i like it!

they're scary things, though, for a novice like me. i barely know where to find the compressor in my software, let alone how best to use it! i've listened to our mixes a couple more times and i think i agree that we could stand to lose a little bit of the ridiculously wide dynamic range we're rocking (bring the bits before the crescendos up a touch in volume, basically), but it's a whole new thing to learn.

still, finished mixes ready for mastering is probably a good result for the weekend  Cool
