So uh, Xristophage: when are we going to start Steel Dan: A Flaming Tusk Tribute to Steely Dan?  Because The Fez is just aching for some slow, filthy tremolo riffs.

For immediate release

http://flamingtusk.bigcartel.com

After months of careful design and research, and having shrewdly waited one year after the release of their debut LP, Old, Blackened Century, Flaming Tusk announces the immediate availability of their newest run of merchandise. On offer are two new shirts: the ANTLERBAG shirt, in olive, featuring the new FLAMING TUSK logo designed by renowned calligrapher Jordan Jelev on the front and the engimatic ANTLERBAG graphic on the back; and for OBC devotees the HO CHI MINH KISSINGER shirt in black and custom-mixed yellow ink, honoring Stolas Trephinator's wildly popular metal catchphrase on the front, with a unique look into Flaming Tusk's apocryphal past on the back. Both designs are available in high-quality, screenprinted small, medium and large.

The OLD, BLACKENED CENTURY digipak remains available for order at http://music.flamingtusk.com; it is now also being shipped along with the shirts. So order a CD with a shirt, or a shirt with a CD, and save on shipping.

Finally, Flaming Tusk offers iron-on SIGIL patches. We expect that the majority of you will not nearly be metal enough to rock the patch. We understand it's not for everybody.

I think we're either playing first—9:15—or last—10:45-ish.

lastclearchance was there too and we rocked out.

I was very confused about the band before Tusk, whether they were tech-death or hell maybe free improv, it's not like they're listening to each other. The mix sort of conveyed both.

Tusk fucking ruled and it was nice to express my enthusiasm for 2010 RECORD OF THE YEAR with my whole body.

Yeah, man, you fucken rocked it!  I didn't know lcc was there!  I suppose I should have!  I'm always a little out of it right after a show, especially when right after the show means a minute and a half of relax time and then loadout.

And re: the band before us - yeah, I had the same impression.  Like, the drummer had written parts, and everybody else filled in around that.

I don't know if I post enough around here for me to be putting my stuff in this thread, but I just made a bandcamp site and I'm excited about having an internet page for our band that isn't facebook or myspace.  So I'm telling everybody about it.  You can stream our first ep here.

http://masses.bandcamp.com

And in our spare time we drone it up.  We have a run of 100 tapes coming out on Sweat Lodge Guru Records & Tapes this month with tunes we recorded in a parking garage last summer. If you're likey, there's more here -->http://www.bbuussggaass.com

I'm only catching a couple of minutes of this as I'm off to work, but it's sounding excellent!

Also, Lee Noble has some things on Sweat Lodge Guru, and he's excellent company to keep  Cool

Thanks Jeb, and yeah we're going to start booking shows for the first couple weeks in August soon.  We'll be looking at Milwaukee around the weekend of the 12-14th, but we're not sure which day yet.  I'll keep you posted.  Have you been up to any musicalities lately?  It'd be so fuckin sweet to play a show with you!

Not yet. Meant to take a couple but just haven't gotten around to it. I've been wearing them a lot too. I've already gotten a number of weird looks thanks to the Ho Chi Minh Kissinger one.

Awesome! Obviously, I'd love to see any that pop up. Especially brutal metal action shots.
