Dude, Antero - one of my close friends from high school is a defender in that office.
Really?  Who?

What a small world the internet is!

His practicing name is David Adam Lipson, but I know him as Adam.

Can't find much info on him online, but here's the site of my former employer, Van Der Hout & Brigagliano.

My brother just sent over a rough mix of our newest song that he laid some Rhodes on top of. At the end, he wasn't banging on the keys, he was banging on the actual tines inside, running it through a distortion, an octave fuzz and into his Sovtek.  Shocked

This shit just got amazing.

I just saw those on Facebook! Killer!  Also, isn't it easy to bust the tines in a rhodes?  I can't wait to hear what that's like.

Hey dudes! So my band just recorded a pretty decent practice tape that we're sharing with folks. It's still pretty rough around the edges, but it will definitely give you the idea: Lamb's Legs - Demo Nov 2011

I'd really like to know what people think.

Yr drummer's real good! This is the shit, I'm looking forward to hearing more.

So while out drinking excessively back in the summer, I apparently gave a friend permission to use some MiC music in a short horror movie he was making. Just watched a cut of it tonight--it's pretty sick and rad.  And it'll be premiering at Sundance apparently, so hey!

Really enjoying the no waviness of your demos Jeb, listening at work.

I put out this little EP yesterday, $5, giving the money to Planned Parenthood. Songs about being honest, listening to Warren G's Regulate and squeezing people tight.

come at me bro pt. 1

pat from paris: it was such a delight getting your crafty little parcel in the mail but there's no way a thank-you card or note is going to make it there before month's end. please send along your new address once you've relocated, thanks.

I totally missed this due to cross-posting.  This band's drummer is presently one of our investigators.  He does a lot of cases with the attorney I work for.

I saw The Alarm live when I was about 15! Those days I was into Big Country, U2, Echo & The Bunnymen - in retrospect, all the kind of overblown, bombastic, anthemic stuff that is designed to appeal to adolescent boys. I also plagiarised The Alarm's "Third Light" lyric for a school poetry hopmework. I got an A. All very embarrassing and this post will be murked within 24 hours and I will deny all knowledge of it thereafter.

Yeah I think the statute of limitations has run out on that homework thing, and everybody knows what an asshole they were when they were younger and doesn't expect any better of anybody else. Jesus, I owned multiple Billy Ocean albums and was obsessed with the Alan Parsons Project man.

Well, okay, but just so we know what we're all signing up to here, this was the, ahem, 'poem':

Your head on my shoulder
Two months you've been a soldier
I feel so sick inside
Two months you'd have been alive

So no one here knows your surname
No one knows from where you came
The Red Cross takes you to your grave
For which your government kindly pays

WHITE CROSS upon the hillside
There lies that unknown soldier
No one can remember your name

So here I stand by your graveside
The steel helmet lies upon your cross
They said you died for king and country
That's no comfort to the life you've lost

FIRST LIGHT
The sniper saw you.
SECOND LIGHT
Took careful aim
THIRD LIGHT
He pulled the trigger on the gun
Dead dead dead.

I started using Garageband on the ipod to really make midi tracks for shit, and it's actually mind-blowingly fun and useful.
