I haven't gotten paid for a gig in like 6 years.

That's going to change soon, though.

Jeb, if you go through with the limited-issue Lamb's Legs brew, remember to make it a 4-pak (1 beer per leg).

ugh, how do I write a press sheet for my band? if there is no press. I'll just put a nice picture and write something concise and descriptive I guess?
I'm trying to book some performances around eastern europe for like late spring/early summer (although I hope the tour will be more oshima than ozu)

the good thing is it's just me and a guitar, so the logistics of traveling are not really a problem, at least!

T&P, I don't want you think I've forgotten about you. Just been really busy lately.

Got the rough mixes of the Lamb's Legs EP, and it sounds pretty incredible. I can't wait for you guys to be able to hear this shit.

I think I'm going to try, in my post-depression excitement, to make a record this summer.  Of a bunch of old songs I've had kicking around for practically 10 years.

Do you guys have any experience getting vinyl pressed? Who do I go to, and what does it cost?  I figure, I might like to do this one all-or-nothing, format-wise.

I've got zero experience pressing vinyl, but you've got a worthy precedent.

Quote from: Wikipedia
Fahey's earliest recordings were released on custom edition 78 rpm discs on his friend Joe Bussard's record label, Fonotone. [8][9] In 1959 Fahey made his own record, recorded in his home town of Takoma Park, Maryland, and pressed by RCA Custom Recorders. He pressed only 100 copies using money he earned pumping gas at a local station and a loan of $300 from an Episcopal minister. Some of the copies were broken on their way from the plant and others given away to friends. Fahey sent copies to folklorists and scholars around the country, as well as planting them in record stores and Goodwill bins for lucky customers to come across. The remainder were slowly sold over a period of four years.[1][10]

Good news. I think I'm going to be getting a new band going and I think it's going to be called Goon Saloon. I've been musically pretty idle for awhile now, so I'm pretty excited about it even though we haven't done anything but say "Hey, let's get together Sunday night and do some stuff."

Goon Saloon is a good name. It is a good band. I assume the music will be beardy or have some elements of beardiness no?

Thanks! You can't really see the cover very well, but it's a photo that M took of some big ice chunks in the Milwaukee River. It's pretty neat looking.

The History & Civilization of the Great Black Swamp - Thom Stylinski

http://greatblackswamp.awkwardcore.com/

THOM STYLINSKI is a new synthy rock opera concerning the sacrifice of the titular child to the elder god Adam Sandler Toaster Ovens. Fans of H. P. Lovecraft and The Muppets will not be disappointed.
