From here!
It's maybe a little self-serving to start a new thread for this, but the old one was at 23 pages.

We'll be in New York next weekend! D got invited (read: begged) back to her old job temporarily by her old underboss, who has walking pneumonia due to work-related stress. She'll be in the city for December and January, and I'm going to spend break there with her. NYC peoples, we can't wait to see you! Much Love

Dude I am excited (as long as there are no criminally dangerous psychopaths present, that is).

What do youse guys know about Manhattanville? Looks like a diverse mix of people, and pretty. I was never on the west side that far up. I'm sure it's thick with Columbia spillover.

I took a class at City College awhile back so I was up there a bit, and it seemed like kind of a mixed bag--some blocks lovely, some dicey.  definitely a vibrant street life (ie loud), but that matters less in winter.  you looking at a sublet there?

this will give you some info:

I am coming up from 17-19 December and was looking for some recommendations of delicious, and maybe even fancy, places to eat foods.

Thanks in Advance,

New York:

I am going to this solstice fish fry in Red Hook on Tuesday evening. You all should come.

Otherwise, I'm here until January 1, and I would like to do something. Don't make me beg.

Sincerely yours,
Yours truly

Sweet!

Same goes for any of you other elpteejers in town tomorrow night. I haven't gotten to see many of you on this trip, so if you're able to join us for a round, that'd be lovely!

Dammit you guys.  wtf Tuesday night.

What are people up to tomorrow night?  I was hoping to do like I did last year, minus the part where I fuck up my knee real bad.

cf and I were walking toward the subway after a half-night of drinking with shnooken, and I caught a piece of uneven sidewalk and took a tumble straight into the ground.  Which is why there is a cane at my house.

Oh, right! I remember now.

We might see True Grit tomorrow night, but if you wanted to get an after-work round or two in Union Square/EV, that'd be swell. Much Love

Yeah.  It'll probably be short, since, as mentioned in the other thread, I've been completely fucked yet again.

Oh man, me too. Like, we might consider brown-bagged pints of Thunderbird at the Port Authority.

oh my god that would be so awesome.  have you ever been to the bowling alley at Port Authority?  is it still there?

I may stop by tonight for a moment--I would like to see the out of town visitors!
