It's Protestant whiskey, anyways.

I like Bushmills okay, but definitely prefer Jameson.

I'll take Jamie over Bushmills, but lately I've been on a Tullamore Dew kick. Not too shabby, that stuff.

milesofsparks provided some Advocaat (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advocaat) for festivities this evening, and it sure tastes precisely like chasing a vanilla Jell-O pudding pop with some Everclear! In a nice way, as long as you take tiny bite-sips of it!

I suspect it will make really delicious milkshakes, too.

men and ladies, i anm here to tell you I have drank roughtly my weight in Oregonian beer since Saturday.  Got a private tour of the Deschutes brewery yesterday.  Just today have had beer from them, Laurenwood, Boneyard and McMillimans.  Also: McMilliman's house bourbon is the SHIT.

The Bonyard has a stout called Suge Knight which I didn't realize was 14% alkyhall until it was farr too late.

This is a good vacation y'all.

Blucas has one month to prepare his liver for two nights of debauchery in the greatest drinking city in the world. Missoula. Fucking. Montana.

No better drinking is to be found.  From wasted Wednesdays to thirsty Thursday you can get shit crunk for next to nothing and start out on high quality local microbrews

Similar price point? I may try that next.

Yeah, pretty close. Jamison generally runs about 19-22 bones, and Tully is about 24-25.

I tried this once. It didn't go well. I couldn't get to sleep without alcohol, and in the mornings I couldn't stay awake without caffeine. It's a very delicate balance I've got going.

Yeah I definitely pound coffee until noon, soda until 5, and booze until I pass out. Rinse and repeat.

I could probably use a detox week. I'd probably lose 5lbs. A few years ago for lent I gave up drinking Sunday -- Thurs. Basically I drank like 5 times as much on the nights i could drink.  My gf did it too. We fought a lot more...

Yeah, pretty close. Jamison generally runs about 19-22 bones, and Tully is about 24-25.

For prices from another region, Jamison is $17 and Tullamore is $19. And Bushmills is $20.

I don't find myself going for Irish Whiskey that often anymore; I'll occasionally get Black Bush for a change when I see it for a few dollars off (so $24.)

Though now that I've had Red Breast I'm always tempted by that, because, really choosing between two fifths of Jamison/etc or one fifth of Red Breast I tend towards the latter because I won't go through either that quickly. Generally.

I'm drinking a Weihenstephaner Vitus. These days, if I'm not drinking a homebrew, I'm usually drinking a Weihenstephaner. That's because I talked the beer manager guy at the liquor store to start carrying the pint bottles, and they're priced at $3 a pop. For the flavor, the pedigree, and the ABV, you cannot do better for the price. Little boozy for a session beer, but my seasoning and immense girth more than compensate.

It's the oldest brewery on planet urf, and isn't yet owned by a giant international conglomerate.
