Yep! Heavy Seas. I quite like their Loose Cannon IPA... I've had a few others from them, but can't recall precisely what. I like their brews, not so much their marketing/labels/company ethos. Makes them seem like some kind of Flying Dog knockoff.

They make good shit! They make a really good imperial stout. Regarding their labels, I'm always down with nautical-themed anything, but in their case the execution is a wee bit cornball.

Bought It On A Whim bottle review: Camus VS cognac. 

Normally I wouldn't get a brandy unless I was going to splurge on something really fancy, what as most of the VS cognacs I've had are either deathly dull or all up in caramel color and sickly sweetness so you can taste it in Coke like yer standard Henny &c.  It came very highly recommended though, and was a buck cheaper than a bottle of crappy Courvoisier, so I went for it.

Excellent decision!  It's the polar opposite of that club VS cognac.  Very subtle, lightly sweet, kind of tangerine fruitiness or something like that.  It's also probably the smoothest liquor I've ever consumed, which is disconcerting.  I mean, no alcohol burn at all.

That is why this post might have poor grammar.

turns out just because you have a friend who works in a bar you still don't want to spend that much money on beer and a good tip all the time. so my lol beer exploration has come to a crawl. I tried a strawberry abita once. Tasty. And I tried um something else in a huge bottle that was like coney island or something. It was alright, had a meaty/smokey flavor. The past two times I went to visit I had water :/
