I've never heard of Mog's Bad Thing. Maybe it wasn't available or maybe my mum didn't care for the subject matter, but my family had a lot of Meg & Mog books. Probably still does. I hope so.

I don't think I've ever referred to myself as my cats' father, but I do greet them with "Hey, kids!" periodically.

The Meg and Mog ones are a different Mog - but they're pretty cool too! Meg's Eggs was a favourite of mine.
Also clare - total love for The Tiger Who Came To Tea, except of course for Benevolent Father Who Comes Home And Solves All The Little Women's Problems. But that picture of the Tiger drinking all the beer makes up for it.

I went away for a week on a cross-country moving van expedition, and when I came home my fluffy maine coon boy looked like this:



Greg brought him to the groomer on Tuesday based on a brief discussion we'd had to the effect of, "Wouldn't it be funny if Digby had a lion cut?"



It is way, way funnier than I thought it would be. He is 80% leg and 100% lack of coordination.

No, it's a kilt that I ordered on etsy.  Utilikilt-ish, though, and wonderfully breathable in the summer heat.
