I think probably not? He still has his front teeth, and three of his fangs, but most (all?) of the back ones are gone.
Apparently, he needed to have so many more removed than the vet anticipated, that he was there until well past closing time. I live right by the vet's office, though, so they were like, "Well, the doctor can just drop him off when he's done."
So at 9:30 PM last night, I got my woozy cat delivered to me like a pizza.

Update: Caliban seems to be doing well so far, though Thunder has continued hissing at him whenever he gets too close; she seemed to like being the only cat for the day he was gone and I stayed home.

Maybe he smells like the vet?
Seeing that picture on the bigger screen makes me realize I need to clean the walls again. Eeewwwwww.

My crazy little cat, Mort, is always broken for days when his mentor and protector, Kovu, goes to the vet or escapes outside for more than an hour. So yeah, it's a cat thing.

You think that until you've seen The Lion King 2, sadly. Still, it was the name they gave him at the shelter, and the big boy was then 6 and thought it was a good movie...it's not a bad name though.

Sadly, no. If you talk about hockey here people assume you're talking about field hockey. Can lead to some amusing misunderstandings.

A few weeks ago my mother called me and told me she saw something in a store that made her think of me and she almost bought it, but didn't because it was only a silly thing. A few days later she called and told me her friend saw something in a store that made her think of me and she bought me it, and maybe it was the same thing. A few days after that she called and said yeah, it was the same thing.
Yesterday I got
this book
in the mail from my mom's friend with a card saying it's a house warming gift for when I move and Lola moves in with me !!

Pollo, that's not a bath, that's something else! (I love the bit where Velcro goes "hang on, there's this daggy bit back here" and Riz is all cool about it)
Josephine's book is great!!

Dear LPTJ
I have moved into an apartment that is excited to receive Lola.
Whats the best way to get Lola across the country? She's in St John's and I'm in Toronto. Should I wait until I go home (not soon) and fly with her? Should I wait until someone I know flys to Toronto? Can cats travel unaccompanied? What about sedatives? She is a small and chatty cat, maybe 5 years old?
I'm pretty sure my mother wants to keep her, she keeps saying she might need me to send Lola back because she & Finnegan and Baron will miss her. Should I just let her stay home and hope another cat comes into my life? (She loves me and thinks I am her mother, I think she'll be happiest with me).
There are pigeons that live in my bedroom window, will they make her crazy?
How can I make the whole thing less stressful for her?

Have her fly in the cabin with you (or someone else). You will need an airline approved carrier and typically have to pay a fee between $50-$100. I gave Calliope baby benadryl at a dosage recommended by my vet which sedated her nicely (she's a talker too), but if you do that, you will want to do a trial run first, because like with people, bendaryl makes about 10% of cats hyper instead of sedated. I put a harness on Calliope for the trip and had a leash handy that I attached for when I had to take her out of the carrier and go through the metal detector with her. Luckily when she's scared she just wants to be in my arms, so that worked out ok.

I got a new kitten yesterday from a litter my friend's cat had a few months ago. Her sister Lumpy is staying with her at my house so they can adjust a bit better to being apart but my cat Muna is piiiiissssed. She hasn't peed all over everything, just slightly marked my favorite sweater which was on the floor in the bathroom- her ultimate comfort zone. She hisses and growls and swats at them a lot which is a side of her I have never seen! I hope she and the new one will be cuddling like Miles' cats super soon.
I gotta figure out her name.

Well, she's pretty fuzzy looking and seems like she might get into trouble, so I suggest Girl Riker.
