0-2 cups on non work days. 2 to 4 mugs on days that I work.

I'm a bartender currently and I also go to day time college classes so I often have to pound coffee once it gets around 11pm.

The Blue Bottle Bella Donovan came today. I could smell it as I approached the mailbox. Roasted three days ago!

I just had twelve oz. of some organic Peruvian light roast and it's gotten on top of me in a not wholly pleasant way. I think I may have to jigger the 30g coffee/350g water brew ratio for this one.

over the past six hours, I have essentially consumed an entire pitcher of cold-brewed coffee. it is not a pretty scene: body shaking, stomach doing things stomachs shouldn't do. now I remember why I stopped making this stuff, and I quit again.

Ugh, man, eat some bread, drink some water. That's why I can't do coldbrew at home, as we discussed upthread.

Little glass!  Sips!  You gotta think of it like whisky!

or, alternatively, dilute! dilute! dilute!  milk or water or rum, your choice.

This is a pretty accurate description of me after one cup of regular coffee, and is why I gave it up cold turkey 20+ years ago. Having said that I still love the idea of it, and I've been drinking a lot more decaf lately to fill that niche.

MAN do I hope this Thai iced coffee has a kick, because I am staring down an all-nighter to meet a deadline after a long day on five hours of sleep, and I could use the assist.

I get Vietnamese iced coffee with my pho.  It is just percolated double strength coffee, ice, and sweetened condensed milk. It is the only time I drink coffee with anything in it.

six hours later, I'm still awake and nominally alive, so I guess the iced coffee worked.

I've been up for about 22 hours now, and this has officially entered the death-march phase. but I am not going to bed until this fucking thing I'm working on--now, at 2am, technically due today--is done. which might be a while.

on-topic, I wish I had more coffee.

I drove back from Soundwave (3hrs, having done the drive up the night before), so to get through the festival and the drive, I got wired on energy drinks, Coke, vitamin tablets and coffee. Now my body is punishing me. If I had the shakes then I slept through them, but I also slept through yesterday and half of today.

I thought Vietnamese coffee was (strong) drip?

also, I don't think I've ever had Thai coffee (hot or iced).  I didn't realize it had things in it besides coffee & sweetened condensed milk.  I'll have to give it a try.

does it? hopefully my post didn't suggest that, because as far as I know that's basically it, just jacked-up coffee. very fucking good jacked-up coffee.

also, stayed up till 4:30 and . . . did not get project quite done. so back up at 10:30 and now plugging away, it is TIME FOR MORE COFFEE.
the subject of this thread is the only thing keeping me alive. this is a rough week.

I got my info from Wiki:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oliang
but perhaps that isn't 100% right?

also, adf, I would suggest massive amounts of water to counteract the side-effects of caffeine.

This is how I've always had it, but I don't really know quite what the mechanism is

My kid's been sick, we went from sleeping in 3-hr bursts to failing to sleep in 20-min bursts. Without coffee, I would literally be a zombie.

I brought two 4 packs of these back from Portland

and I've been enjoying the hell out of them. Today's their expiration date, though, so I gave two of em away and am drinking the last one right now.
