I know there are mixed feelings around here as regards MMA, but that clip is worth watching for the last 15 seconds or so for the kind of toe-to-toe bare knuckle exchange & quick knockout that are relatively rare in fights like those.

Also WTF that was a vicious late hit.

Mostly, those fights just seem super boring to me, though boxing is probably even more boring. I'm not a fan of boxing or MMA, but I think MMA probably leads to less long-term brain damage than boxing, so I suppose I'm glad to see it replace boxing to some extent.

I joined a community orchestra today! I haven't played in one since high school 8 years ago. 1st rehearsal is in 2 weeks and I can't wait to see how this turns out!

Clarinet or percussion, the guy said they could use a clarinet though (that sounds weird to me but I'll accept it) so I'll be playing that unless they can't find enough drummers.

Mixed Martial Arts.  There's a lot more grappling than in boxing, so a bunch of people that get into it do a lot of Brazilian Jiujitsu, which is why there was all that stuff on the ground.

When I was in pre-school, I was taught to tie my shoes by the 'bunny ears' method because my teacher couldn't figure out how to teach 'proper' tying to a left-handed person.

More than two decades later: Without even thinking about it, I have just now tied my shoes using the 'normal' method as if I'd been doing it all my life.  Midway through the second shoe I realized what I was doing and promptly wigged the fuck out.
