Yikes. This list is frighteningly unfamiliar. Just 1 album in common with mine, all the way back at #17!

I enjoy how, with a couple exceptions, every fuckin year the title of the year-end thread reflects something that I liked that I am apparently not allowed to like, and yet I am the only one who liked it.

You just mad that your acting skills will never be as skillful as this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WRUGovnM3zc

I also sincerely enjoyed the hell out of every single one of these descriptions

In fairness to you, the full lyric is

"OK now we outta here / toodles to you bitches / and if you dolled-up / I got the voodoo for you bitches"

HE (kind of) RHYMES TOODLES WITH VOODOO

Yikes. This list is frighteningly unfamiliar. Just 1 album in common with mine, all the way back at #17!

That just means you need to listen to the mix!  I especially like the part where "Ichor" goes into "The Wild Hunt."  Lulz.

edit:  Oh, and yeah, Flaming Tusk is the only metal representation, but that was more due to a lack of consensus among the metal albums people voted for than anything else.  Harvey Milk and High on Fire were both in the top 30.

I'm actually surprised that I know anything other than the FT album!  I mean, I have listened to the LCD Soundsystem, Grinderman, and Swans, though the latter two only relatively recently.

Just one from my list, and just one that I've heard I think - number one, of course.

Flaming Tusk is the best metal band of 2010. You heard it here first. Fuck you, Enslaved. Get out of my house.

Blucas, will you mess with the formatting a little? Right now all the titles are closer to the one after them than the one they're denoting, leading to massive confusion on the party of my puny cortex.

What's the extended list (say, top 30) look like?

(Def Jam/Roc-A-Fella)rap, hip-hop, yet it has Bon Iver on it

is kanye's beautiful dark twisted fantasy to become billy corgan? lulz

Hey, four five, kinda, of mine made the list, and four more on the list were in my 21-30. I am the lowest common denominator!

Shit! I forgot to vote for Joanna Newsom! She should be about #5 for me. I hope she did okay without my help (sorry, Joanna).

Interesting. Four of mine made it. A good portion of the other 16 are albums I've never heard. Or they're like that Tame Impala LP in that I like it when it's on and forget everything about it by the time it's over.

I have to double check what made my top 20 but up to 13 of the albums I voted for made it. Maybe only 10 though. That is way surprising.

EDIT: 11. At least 3 more that made it would probably be in my next 10.

Also as always thanks, blucas, for doing this, as always. The album descriptions were a great touch. I look forward to hearing the some new songs from the mix, too.
