I'm sure that I've seen these records in dollar bins. I swear to each of you that the next time I see one of those 3 albums, I'll buy it.

The sound of Raditude is fun, high energy pop rock. 'I'm Your Daddy' has an up vibe with the same heavy Weezer guitar riff but with a little electro influence. And 'The Girl Got Hot' -- that's kind of a witty party jam.

Fucking hell, fucking hell, fucking.

Hell.

I would suggest everyone interested in Cheap Trick track down the '98 session where they rerecorded In Color with Steve Albini, and by "track down" I mean "hey look."

Also awesome, on the bootleg cheap trick tip, is Samurai Rock Band.  So cool.

spot fucking on.

love this recording.

One of my professors used to be in-house litigation counsel for State Farm.

I am going to make fun of her.

They crave attention. The problem is they don't care whether it's good attention, like for releasing one, arguably two of the best rock albums of the 90s, or bad attention, like for turning their father into a jack-in-the-box.

Don't get Weezer, never have. But they never moved me one way or another until this ad, which gets me as cross-eyed as others got for those Pomplamoose car ads over Christmas.

Fuck you, Weezer, you're dead to me.

Lolllzz. So true. Can the other guys really imagine that he would have wanted crap like Beverly Hills to see the light of day? Hell yeah, let's make another "new" Weezer album and make it the single, 'cause as that other guy who died in the 90s said, "all the kids will eat it up if it's packaged properly".

i agree that this is pretty awesome, but i can't quite pinpoint what, exactly, they've captured here on this state farm jingle (composed by barry manilow, incidentally) that's been lacking in their recent music.
