These dudes hang out and grill in our apartment building's little courtyard area quite a bit, I've sat down with them a handful of times and they always seem to have extra food. I like living here.

In a similar spirit, literally the first thing that happened to me as I set foot starving in downtown Seattle was that a couple of girls offered me a peanut butter and jelly cupcake from some work party leftovers. I think this is going to be a good trip!

That bodes well! Also I'm relieved to hear that you did in fact set foot in downtown Seattle - yesterday my e-mail front page said something about the Lufthansa strikes being intensified, so I was concerned.

Apart from the bus to Frankfurt I actually didn't have to deal with Lufthansa at all, as United operated the flights. I arrived late, but nothing bad.
