here's what happened. it was midnight. my neighbor decided to pick then to do home improvement and hammer some shit on a wall that we both share. I said "SERIOUSLY?" and it didn't stop. Then I said "SHUT UUUUUP" directly at the spot where he was hammering and it stopped. Now I am hoping he doesn't kill me. It's been an hour. I'm not dead yet.

But no, no deaths.
When it's cold out, Linus sleeps in the bed all night. The temperature dropped this afternoon.. He got in bed before me, and nested in my blanket pile. I can't bring myself to move him! He is tiny and his pretzel sticks need warmth! No sleeping for meee..

I can't get to sleep - for some reason I keep running through my head the time 12 years ago when my brother and I was in high school and a friend of his threatened me with a knife. I have lots of things that keep me up at night right now, so why oh why was that drenched up?

That's a horrible thing to be thinking about. I don't have quite the violent experience but I am suprised at how rememberances of terrible things creep up on you like that. It happens to me the most in the shower and while driving.

I woke up at 5am this morning and couldn't get back to sleep. I kept saying I would get up and get ready for work and show up really early to get things done but I still waited til the absolute last minute. Sleep is weird for me lately. I used to go to sleep as soon as I closed my eyes and sleep until my alarm rang. Now there's this effort.
