Yeah, I mean I don't want to do it, but it would be a good thing for someone to do.

Just had a look at the members list - it's been five months since a new signup, and the last new member to make any posts actually signed up in January. The last new member to make more than, say, 50 posts was... Dick, making a return. And before that it was fishjim in July of last year.

Wasn't there someone that was a medium for reporting technical probs to the board host because Lalitree and John are understandably too busy?  Maybe we can have whoeverthehell that was get on board and have someone contact Lalitree and see if we can't get them on board?  If it's too much work filtering bots, they can always shut her back down.

Khadafi has been the "Latest Member" since Lalitree made this thread.

It occurs to me that this forum is in a really weird place at present - strangers can see most of our topics, but can't ever post.  I feel like we should either open up registration again, in whatever fashion, or draw the privacy curtain over the whole affair.

I'm sure we could create an internal social protocol that would stop bots or whatever - we could even distribute the job, or only allow signups if someone had a password or something.

I actually sent Lalitree a PM a few weeks ago suggesting  basically what Antero said there, but she hasn't replied. Maybe she doesn't run LPTJ any more? Someone try John - I can't handle any more perceived rejection.

She wrote back to me, she was just all "AACK SORRY BABY" and I was like NO PROB so I guess I'll e-mail her again in a bit, but understand that Roman is more important than the message-board at the moment.

I turned on registrations, sorry guys! The baby totally knocked any memory of having done this out of my head. It's back on as approval-required, so if someone wants to join I have to approve it. I should get an email so it should be relatively quick. But, if you know someone who wants in and their reg doesn't get approved within, say, a day, let me know.
