Speaking of his basedness, "The Original" off of The Silent President is one of the most brutal things I've ever seen anyone do to a genre.  It's basically a sustained assault on everything you expect from a rap song.

Hard as fuck. Love the string glissandos, Tech on his classic 'switching up his flow every verse, chopping up the beat from different directions' shit. Also he reps for his "sick core."

dunno if any of ya remember me, my name's mike. i used to post here a few years ago, i was lucky enough to meet jeb & even crash on el-josharino josh's couch one night in omaha.

anyway, i find my way back to LPTJ for these hip hop threads fairly often. always a good read for new things i should be checking out, figured i'd finally reset my password to say thx & hello.

curious if any of you read these "the what" columns (1 and 2) at tinymixtapes? i just started writing for the delorean section, it's been interesting keeping up w/ the other stuff on the site even if it's sometimes too snarky or overdone intellectual stuff.
