also, some dudes are opening a retro arcade here. they have a ton of nice pinball tables and old arcade machines. im real damn excited! im gonna hang around and play SSF2T like whoa.

also, for the triple post WIN, counterstrike global offensive will have pc/ps3 cross platform play, and the ps3 version will be playable with mouse+keyboard. so... thats cool.

GoW3 will likely be the first Xbox game I buy in months! Thinking of picking up a new copy of GoW2 to train with just sos I'm not *utterly* embarrassed when the inevitable LPTJ deathmatches start.

Had a couple of extended sessions on SF3:3sOE and am starting to like it. Oro is my boy, though I can't really do any of his tricks. He has one really satisfying combo though, which I'm working on.

Also Xenoblade Chronicles is still really cool but last night an evil nemesis with a hilarious gruff cockney accent showed up and threatened to derail the whole thing. Hopefully the story will sort itself out again at some point.

alistarr* we need to get some Halo happening again. Last night I hopped on the Multi-team and got paired up with a couple of crazy mountain dudes from Tennessee. A delirious blur of Rocket Hog Race, Crazy King, 3-Ball and other bizarro gametypes ensued.

Man, so many videogames! Yeah, I'd love to play some more Halo. I bought those map packs the other week because they were on sale and I think I've played about three games on them (which is actually about how many games I played on the GoW2 map packs which I also bought in a sale and then didn't really play).

I think I only bought the first map pack for Reach. In a way it seems kind of pointless when there are so many forge maps for download. Also you're missing out on some brilliant maps handcrafted by the LPTJ Xbox crew, so get on that Halo tip gangsta.

ive had blops since launch and i dont think ive made it halfway through the single player campaign. its just awful. i have played like 5 days worth of the multiplayer though.

yeah me too.  You click to build something, you know, and instead of the nice clean menu that pops up along the bottom you've got this huge ass build option screen that pops up right into the center of the screen and it is ugly as fuck.

I've never met a CoD game I thought was any fun.

Though on harder difficulties it's just dumb, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is an awesome single player game. Yes it has those infinite enemy moments where you have to cross an invisible line to stop them spawning, but that's literally the only thing wrong with it. Extended sections of that game are better than pretty much any action movie ever.

I was going to write some apologist appreciation of the multiplayer modes of the later games but I sadly just don't have it in me. MW2 was a good time with Chet, but without friends it was just unenjoyable for me.

the MW3 multiplayer trailer and news thats been coming out doesnt really have me excited. we'll see once its actually coming out though, im sure the hype will get me in the end.

also i got a new computer and installed counterstrike and TF2 on it, so... if anyone wants to shoot a man i could be into that. i havent played TF2 since before they started having new weapons so its been a long fucking while.
