Well, if more is what you'd like there's this recording of a video game reviewer playing the first 12 hours of Skyrim.

The fact that even with all that time the guy just scratches the surface of what there is to do in the game should explain why everybody is raving about this.

I'm six hours into New Vegas - it's more fallout 3! And it's not all green this time!

And the story seems to be getting off to a decent start. I'm playing that hardcore mode but I think I kind of half-broke it by accidentally buying a DLC that had some "never get thirsty" item in it (I pressed the "buy everything" button on Steam).

Plus, I got eaten by a Deathclaw while I was still at level 1. Then by a Golden Gecko. Is there an "animal friend" perk in this game? Those things are too friendly-looking to be murdering, really.

I had been riding Frost since somewhere around level 16. Frost aggroed a frost dragon when I was level 3416 and it chomped him. I spent the next hour and a half hunting frost dragons and killing them. Fuck those guys for killing my horse.

the solid framerate in MW3 is such a nice change after playing as much BLOPS as i did. its a pretty fun game, but i gotta say i dont think i'll buy another one thats exactly the same thing. looking forward to digging into the spec ops stuff.

so i encountered a bug in the school of mages quests where tolfdir would tell me to stand opposite him and he is supposed to throw a fireball and i am supposed to put up a lesser ward spell. but he refused to throw the fireball. i guess it's a somewhat 'known' bug ... i started killing the other students, ran out of there, fled the city. came back and was put in jail. went back up to the college and he said, "i won't speak of the nastiness that happened. i think it best we just move on." bam. quest complete! bug squashed. now i am getting on with more wizard college quests. the moral of the story. if you have a problem, start killin.

Man, I've put so many hours into Skyrim and I've barely done anything.  I've basically only been to Windhelm, Riften, and Whiterun.  If anyone hasn't done it yet, I highly recommend the Hangover-style side-quest "A Night to Remember," where you get into a drinking contest that goes awry.  

I've mostly been doing misc and side quests, and some Thieves' Guild shit. Thieving/sneaking is WAY more fun in this iteration than in Oblivion or Morrowind.

Last night I did take Whiterun for the Stormcloaks though.  That was hella fun, even though I assume I'll have to be doing this over and over again for a bunch of keeps/holds/whatever-they-call-them. I did feel sorta guilty when the Jarl was all, "Et tu, Dragonborn?" after I deposed him.

I don't think I've ever been as angry at a video game as I was for that last, like, hour and a half of MGS2 where they wrest all control away from the player and spout sub-Matrix: Revolutions pseudo-philosophy at you.
